What makes this album interesting is how comfortable Alpha Blondy sounds. By 2013, he was a legend with nothing left to prove. He isn't trying to chase modern dancehall trends or autotune his voice. He is simply doing what he does best: roots reggae with a Dioula/French twist. His voice, slightly weathered by time, adds a layer of gravitas that younger artists simply cannot manufacture.
