In response, LGBTQ culture has rallied. We are witnessing a "Trans Tipping Point" where mainstream queer organizations (HRC, GLAAD) are refocusing their fundraising and lobbying efforts to protect trans youth. Yet, critics within the movement argue that mainstream LGBTQ culture is still too slow.
