The movie is based on a true story and revolves around two detectives, Soo-jin (Kang-ho Song) and Sang-man (Kyu-hwan Choi), who are tasked with investigating a series of gruesome murders that took place in a small town in South Korea in the 1980s. The killer, known as "The Hwaseong Serial Killer," targets young couples, strangling them and leaving behind a cryptic message at the crime scene.
