Developed by a team of passionate modders led by "JaimeHR" and the "Smash Remix Team," Smash Remix is a ROM patch applied to the original Super Smash Bros. 64 ROM. Unlike many hacks that break the original game’s stability, Remix operates on an expanded engine that pushes the N64 hardware to its absolute limit.
As time passed, Alex became somewhat of a legend in his gaming community for his skills in Super Smash Bros. 64 Remix. He participated in local tournaments and even created his own YouTube videos showcasing his gameplay.
The original game had 12 fighters. Remix more than triples that number. While the original 12 are still there (with visual touch-ups), the hack adds characters from later Smash titles and entirely fan-favorite picks. You can expect to play as:
