"Paprika" is a 2006 Japanese animated science fantasy film written and directed by Satoshi Kon. It's based on the 1993 novel of the same name by Yasutaka Tsutsui. The movie is set in a research laboratory where scientists have developed a device called the DC Mini, which allows them to enter people's dreams. The story follows Paprika, a researcher who works with the device and finds herself using it to help people overcome their nightmares. However, when the device is stolen and used for malicious purposes, Paprika must navigate the world of dreams to prevent chaos.
